Hello. Sad news to tell today. Yes, after a summer full of joy afforded by these winged creatures, they are gone. They packed their little bags and headed south. We waited patiently yesterday morning for their constant visits. After an hour, Patty and I concluded our summer birds had departed. We both recalled that only the day before, in the evening, two of the little birds flew around us, around our heads, briefly. We now conclude it was their way of telling us goodbye for the season. We did shed a few tears--and we did pray for their safe journey to Mexico. We will be anxiously waiting for their return in the late spring of 2015.
