Hello Shire of Druim Doineann and Friends, As most of you are aware, Ive been appointed as the new Seneschal of our branch. I just want to give my deepest and sincerest thanks to all who have shown support and continue to show support in this decision. My ultimate goal for this shire is what the populace of the shire wants. For a welcoming, stable, growing branch. We have almost a whole new staff of officers working towards this common goal and I excited to give you all an update on what is being discussed. Regular fighter, archery, bard, Arts and Science, practice and meets! This is a truly amazing thing! Sir Lorenzio and his wife Sharon are currently working with Griffin Enguerrand, our new Master of Stables and many other officers at setting up a location were we will be able to do regular practices and meets for all of our passions in the SCA! We expect this to set up later this month and there will be a hall for doing A&S projects, bardic and other social gatherings. A pole barn is being modified for regular rapier and heavy fighter practices and their will be a semi-permanent archery range on the property! Also, we will be holding a social in Port Townsend in the next few months as we work with our members in that area. Stay tuned in the next weeks as the details are discussed. Current Officer Positions Available (With Brief description of the officer): Rapier Marshal: Oversees Rapier activities within the branch. Heavy Marshal: Oversees Heavy fighting activities within the branch. Chief Archer: Oversees Archery activities within the branch. List Mistress: Oversees at combat recording activities within the branch. Chatelaine: Helps promote and recruit for the branch. Also helps newer members find resources and activities. Chirurgeon: Helps with Injury related problems. Gold key: Maintains and issues loaner garb. Scribe: Makes and writes out scrolls and awards for the branch. Pied Piper: Children activities. I am sending out word for our neighbors to the southeast, Dragons Laire. They are hosting their Harvest Feast on the 27th and I believe there is 8 seats available as of this morning.
