Hello Sierra Vista Veteran Community! Southern Arizona VA Health Care System is in need of Caregiver Support volunteers in Sierra Vista. The tasks include visiting housebound Veterans to provide support for the Caregiver and spend quality time with the Veteran. Currently, there are more Veterans than volunteers in Sierra Vista. This position requires some additional screening and training. The ongoing time commitment is a 1 to 4 hour visit with an assigned Veteran on a weekly basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become a part of the awesome SAVAHCS Volunteer network without needing to travel to Tucson.
