Hello Solarize NE team! It’s been some time since I’ve seen most of you—I hope all is well! Since we worked together on the Northeast Seattle campaign, Northwest SEED has kept busy advancing solar policy and implementation across the state. This July, we’re taking a pause to celebrate our successes and the wonderful partners and volunteers who helped us achieve them! I would like to invite the Solarize NE team to a celebration of solar on Sunday, July 21 at Jefferson Park (under the solar picnic shelters, of course). Amongst the milestones we’ll be celebrating is the installation of more than 1.25 megawatts of solar—that’s 1,250,000 watts!—through Solarize Washington campaigns. Northeast Seattle was a big part of that momentum, and we would love for you all to help us celebrate. Details and registration for the Solar Picnic in the Park can be found on our Eventbrite page. (Note: you may receive a duplicate invitation if you’re signed up for Northwest SEED’s email list—consider it an indication of how much we want to see you!) Councilmember Mike O’Brien will be joining the festivities, along with the requisite cake and ice cream and heaps of good cheer. Children and families are welcome. We’ll be providing the treats, and you are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch. We would love to see you at our Solar Picnic in the Park on July 21! I look forward to catching up.
