Hello! Sooo great to see some familiar names! I have worked there for 30+ years and quit, to relocate to Poland. You all probably remember my heavy accent? Met there some great, and not so great, people. Mostly, we all know who they were! lol In Roxbury offices (1974) was born Retail Division, and I got there a job, to audit daily reports from booteries. In Cambridge I met most wonderful ,helpful and compassionate people! I was proud to work for SR because it was one of the most recognized names in the industry, bar none, and people were surprised that I worked there... We had fun, until we were relocated to Lexington. We lost some of the best on the Yellow Brick Road - who remembers that saying? Everything we practiced in Cambridge, was destroyed and reinvented much later... I left Co. in 2005 and due to circumstances, returned to the city of my birth. After that chunk of my life, spent in SR, I missed everybody like crazy! Until I got to Facebook!!!! Now,when I write, Iam on my own...no Bobbie to correct my spelling, and Ralphs green inked pen,correcting my compositions. No need to write memo to the stores! ha, ha! God bless them for patience with me! The biggest blow came when Payless bought Stride Rite...discounter swallowed the legend. I hope, we get to be reminiscing here often! Would love to attend a reunion! Best Regards!
