Hello Team Weight Watchers! Our Weight Watchers’ monthly routine, Walk at Least 5 minutes Each Hour, is a great way to get up and get moving. In this month’s Runners World there is an article about weight loss, movement, and how routines matter. They talked to more than 10,000 people who have maintained an average 66 pound weight loss for more than 5 years and discovered some interesting stats provided by National Weight Control Registry. Here are some of their successful habits that should sound familiar: Routine Matters 78% eat breakfast every day. 75% step on the scale once a week. 62% watch fewer than 10 hours of TV a week On average, they exercise one hour per day. The above routines sound a lot like our 16 scientifically proven Routines for Weight Loss: tinyurl/mphz5cp These are all things we talk about in meetings on a regular basis. How are you doing with these routines? Pay particular attention to the one that says get up and walk five minutes every hour. How are you incorporating this into your daily weight loss journey? Our March movement continues this week as we get a boost by getting a buddy (or 2!) in our “Fit Club” meeting! We all know there’s power in numbers, right? So, what if in our meeting you find members who like to be active the same way you do? Engaging in shared interests (activity goals) with other members can help increase motivation levels. By joining together we’ll get and give support. We’ll keep each other energized, moving, and losing weight! Making fitness fun increases the chance of keeping it going. Our focus this month is all about becoming and staying active and we’re kicking off 4 weeks of our Live Life Active Campaign by making fitness fun! Want to participate?
