Hello UKCH, Im currently a Special Constable in the London Met and Im proud to be serving with such an admirable force. During my time - as have thousands of my brothers and sisters in all forces in the UK & abroad - I have come across those hardest hitting calls; Suicidal people. My digital agency created an App called Samaritans Radar, for the charity Samaritans, to monitor the Twitter feeds of the people who download it. The App uses an algorithm that monitors Twitter followers (of the person who downloads it) who appear suicidal. By downloading the App, the person will receive an email alert with a link to the tweet, which will then ask if you feel as though there is a cause for concern. The Samaritans will only get involved directly if requested. Although in early development, the potential to save lives is amazing. The launch has seen #SamaritansRadar trend in the UK and is being covered by major news companies in the UK. Please could you you spread the word and help turn your social network into a safety net?
