Hello Veggie Gardeners. It’s Live Question Time. Here we are in summer finally. It is supposed to be a ‘normal’ summer according to the long range forecast, whatever that may be. The best thing about summer is it brings the harvest with it and soon those we will have more tomatoes and zucchinis than we know what to do with. Zucchini are so prolific and you need to watch them as they can double in size in a day and will hide from you. They can be eaten at any stage, from stuffing the flower with soft cheese and frying it up, to tender tiny ones raw in a salad, normal sized ones can be stir fried into something amazing and if it gets too big then marrow stuffed with meatloaf is also a great meal. Hiding it from kids is easy to with a chocolate zucchini bread. It isn’t too late to sow seeds now and my favourite is Yates Lebanese – so sweet and delicious. If you have any questions about caring for zucchini or anything about veggies at all - ask now. I will be here LIVE on Facebook for the next half hour!
