Hello Veterans. I have 2 veterans and their families in Nassau County still recovering from Hurricane Sandy and the federal government has offered little if any assistance. The Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano Hurricane Relief Fund has given them assistance, but they need more help. One of my veterans is a Vietnam Combat Vet amputee. He and his family recently moved back into their home after repairs, but the entire outside is destroyed. I am seeking a new 4x8 shed and 40 feet of stockade fencing to repair the damaged fence. I also need manual labor to assist with the fence repair and the landscape. My other veteran is 72 years old. He and his wife were taken advantage of from a contractor who did not prime the entire first floor when he painted over the sheet rock. 4 rooms need to be repainted. Any offer for paint and labor would be appreciated. Thank you reading, please share and lets help those who have given so much. One team, one fight!
