Hello. We understand that many of you who didn’t get an entry (and many who didn’t get their desired start time) are disappointed. We are truly sorry that we can’t offer entries to all who is interested, but since we ride on public roads we can’t control your safety otherwise. Many of you wonders how fast it was sold out and how it is possible to not get a place when one sent in one’s code just minutes after 7 pm. First we have to explain that 70 % of the entries sold out in just 45 seconds. Really fast and something we do not wish for. The registration opened at 7 pm according to Fröken Ur (the Swedish Speaking Clock) and if your computer or phone is slightly late it can cost you your start time or worse; your entry. It is regrettable that so many feel unsatisfied but we work continuously on ways to create a registration system that is as fair as possible. We feel that our current system is the most fair system we have had under the circumstances we have to take in consideration. The participant registers interest and in case you want to ride as a group (which is preferred from a safety point of view) you register together. After that it is up to each participant/group leader to be prepared on the 4th of November at 7 pm to paste/type in the code and send it. Then a computer registers each and every code and assigns them in order of who came in first. (Worth knowing is that the red times was sold out in 15 seconds). The ones that didn’t get an entry are put in a waiting list that is not editable. The list is also based on how fast the code came in. When an entry is made available it will be assigned from the top of the waiting list. This is the fairest and least chance based system that we have found but we continue to try and find other solutions. Kind regards Vätternrundan
