Hello, Whapmagoostui/Kuujjuarapik, First of all, let me say on - TopicsExpress

Hello, Whapmagoostui/Kuujjuarapik, First of all, let me say on the behalf of the Cree radio board of directors we would like to thank you for your tremendous comments and debate whether we have a bingo game tomorrow August 29, 2014. Believe me when I say that this was a very hard decision we had to make and it is for the good of our little community. The Cree radio board of directors would like to apologize to question our decision but we wanted to hear what the community feels about our decision and this is a learning experience for us too. Unfortunately, we have decided there will be NO bingo tomorrow, August 29, 2014, we are truly sorry for this inconvenience. We say that we want to teach our children to respect themselves and others, what will we teach them if we do not respect and support their success of hard work to achieve their goals? That is one of the reasons, we want our children to be acknowledged to be more mature and respectful. I was an high school graduate once and it felt good to see all my family at the graduation celebration. One day we will see our kids graduate (hopefully) and we will try to be there and not to be rushed. We say we are not forcing people to play bingo, actually, we are because the pot is huge right now, if the pot was not there I can bet people would not mind missing out one bingo game but when it is there they will mind and rush out of the graduation celebration. I know that we will be losing profit, because there is a big crowd right now in Whapmagoostui, but YOUNG leaders has to come first, we made a lot of profit before and there will be other festivals or events in Whapmagoostui that we can target for grand bingos or regular bingo nights. Speaking of Grand Bingo we are having one next week, September 5, 2014 and I can promise you that we will have a blast bingo night on that date. We will let you know the grand prize tomorrow or on Tuesday, so I ask you to be patience with us and again we are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your support and have a great and safe weekend James George WATA President
