Hello Zane. I am a 28 year old single parent living in NC. In the last past August I let my daughters Father take her to NY for the school year because he hadnt saw or supported her in 4..5 years maybe. Me not wanting to be the ghetto Mother screaming you aint gave me no money so you cant see my child.. and her being young (9to be exact) wanted her to get to know her father the way I knew mine and his older children knew him.. I didnt want to rob her of that and let her go. On Friday the 13 there was a raid at his home. He and the girlfriend were taken to jail the kids to social services. I just find out on yesterday! My job want give me no time off.. they say I want have a job when I get back but thats my daughter. I have bills to pay but to get the child I raised I will walk through hell and back. My back is against the wall. I lose my job I have bills to pay and her to support but she has to get back to her home and out of where they are holding her. He has put me in a messed up perdicument and I need some advice. Thanks MY RESPONSE: Go get your child. God will work out the rest. If you need me to contact your employer on your behalf, I will. I do not understand how they would refuse to give you time off to go see about your child in another state. Bottom line, sometimes we are forced to make changes in our life. If your job is that strict, you can do better but you cannot allow your child to remain in state care for too long or they may find you unfit as well. Go get that baby now.
