Hello Zane, I had altercation at work on Thursday just pass. I work as a student aid with a special needs child. Sometimes my student dont want to play at recess but in gym or class game time; he will play. I do him encourage to play but he wont play. This is my problem. The recess coach come at me telling me how to do my job & I shouldnt give him a computer break during recess time because the other kids dont get that. She said that i dont encourage him to play. I tired to tell her that I do encourage him, but I refused to make him play. I wouldnt even do that to my own child. Everytime I tired to talk to her. She got louder & made a seen. I stop talking & just looked at her. After she walked away. I called my boss he told me to go to the principal. The principal said he would talk to her. I also reported her to the company she works for anonymously. I also looked up the information for the company she work. Here my question::: Is there legal action I can take; if she do it again. I have the feeling she going to do it again and it will escalate. MY RESPONSE: You need to make a formal complaint with ehr company. Complaining about her anonymously will not do much and she will know it is you anyway; especially since the principal plans to discuss it with her. I am not sure if you can take legal action against her but you are entitled to a friendly workplace environment. But yes, you need to file a formal complaint. Good luck.
