Hello all! After the release of our video last night, we have gotten a huge response and we are so grateful. Many would like more information about where the money is going, and we are more than happy to provide that for you. The organization is called Al-Anfal Al-Saqafia wa Al-Khayria, located in Mantaka Al-Sa’dia, Karbala Mission: Meeting the basic needs of Iraqi orphans from all backgrounds residing in Karbala, specifically those with deceased fathers. Vision: To limit and slowly eliminate emotional, mental and physical suffering of the orphans who are left with little to no financial support Services: Monthly Allowance: a small amount is given to the family to spend on the child Basic Needs: Food, clothes, educational purposes such as books and pencils Health Services: Hospital bills, medication Help in purchasing land/property Helping newlyweds financially Offering computer classes to help with employment as well as other employment services Ensuring families homes are equipped with ovens, fans, A/C and refrigerator Al-Anfal is a non-profit agency that was established in 2003. The aim of the organization is to collect donations from people around the world to support the basic needs of the orphans living in Karbala. Al-Anfal has numerous families which it works hard to aid, however not all can be helped due to the lack of donations made. To be registered under the organization one must go through a rigorous process to show proof of a parents loss, this is done to ensure that all donations that are being made are going to people who are in dire need of help. The agency offers a variety of services to ensure that their clients future dependence on third parties is limited and slowly eliminated.The agency feels it is important to empower, motivate and educate clients to diminish their agony and worry. The Executive Director of the agency sees the families once a month, however if clients need for services increases do does the visits. Al-Anfar is a one stop organization which does not act as a broker, thus all clients basic needs can be met within this organization.
