Hello all, I took this test back in April which prompted me to learn more and seek a diagnosis. I am still awaiting my assessment, and it has been a frustrating endeavor especially since my family Dr. referred to Aspergers as a disease, a therapist said that it could go away like diabetes type 2, and no one in the public health care sector here has the ability to recognize a female with Asperger traits. Without doubt I am on the spectrum, just as my younger brother is (with formal dx). I have spent hundreds of hours researching and reading, deep introspection and self observation as well as much writing. Thank you all for the support and acceptance that I cant find in the physical world around me, it is helping me to persevere and keep my focus. I struggle with so many things from agoraphobia to hypersensitivity and sensory overload, to the point where I have trouble eating food to sustain a healthy weight. I rarely share with other people, and it seems as though we share similar brain wavelengths compared to others not on the spectrum, making it easy to share with you all. I am awaiting an appointment and will be paying for my assessment, hopefully I will finally be taken seriously when I address sensory, transitional, and social challenges. I have special traits and encyclopedic knowledge of certain topics and a serious need for solitude.
