Hello all. Safety Team member J.R.Karsten A.K.A. PlasmawarriorX here. Although Volunteer Registration isnt open yet, this would be a good time to start thinking about perhaps joining the team as a whole. Theres many spots for those who are interested in certain areas. Have a cheerful personality and like to cosplay a lot while being able to take care of your fellow con goers? Try your hand at Moral Staff! How about making sure that all the events are put together and ready to go with all the A/V equipment? Join the TechOps group! Or if you want to make sure everyone is able to get in and out of events with no problem and maybe be rather creative while doing so? Be a Line and Sign helper! Why should YOU volunteer you ask? Other than the things I mentioned before, the cost is WAY less than youd think. Youre thinking Oh its $10 for 3 days. Well, thats actually not true. Sure you pay $10 to start, but you get vouchers good to help pay for anything in the dealers room. The two $15 vouchers give you back your costs and then some. Also, for those of you who are worried about what do I eat basic meals are provided. And for those of you who live out of town, crash space is also given. And for someone who started out my first time living in Houston, thats a HUGE help.
