Hello all! Thank you for liking this page. The following is my first official post pertaining to what was preached at my church this morning. I hope you enjoy! :) What an amazing service this morning at Jackson Avenue! The Lords presence filled many individuals, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Our message today was about Patience or waiting, rather. Many people spoke up and testified about their own experiences with being patient and waiting for what The Lord had in store for them. Before preaching his message, our Pastor told everyone that our testimonies tied into what he was going to be speaking about. I felt convicted when the Holy Spirit moved within me to praise God for His love and my experience with salvation. One of the things I told the congregation was all of the happiness I thought I was gaining as a sinner didnt begin to compare to the joy I felt as a Christian. In this case the Lord was waiting for me to come to him, before being fully saved and committed to God. I had felt His presence speaking to me several times and pushing me toward the altar but I had always resisted and eventually He stopped moving on my heart. That was a scary feeling.... being in church and hearing others speak about the great presence of Gods spirit filling the church and not being able to feel it at all. That was like facing the fact that I might as well have been condemned to Hell already. Shortly, after I felt the Lords spirit again and I knew if I didnt take his offer of salvation, I may never get another chance..... and I can tell you right now I have never regretted my decision to become a Christian. I love God with all of my heart and soul! Always remember that God keeps His promises. He is not a mere man, but a Mighty Spirit. He never forgets and remembers every one of His promises and honors those promises. How many times has someone close to you promised something and then went back on that promise or maybe forgot about that commitment? Now think about how wonderful it would be to have someone who will never forsake you, never leave you, never forget you. If you want a relationship that will last... put your trust in Jesus. Put your expectations in God, and know that man will only disappoint.... but God will honor His word! God speaks to us through His word and His word is illuminated by the Holy Spirit. Just remember to be patient with God..... sometimes He is waiting for us to learn a lesson.... for us to realize what He is trying to say! I want to leave you with a chorus of hymn that we sang today> Im so glad to be a part of The Family of God, Ive been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod For Im part of the family The Family of God Are YOU a part of that Family today? You can be, if you would like me and my prayer group to pray for you, message me and I will be glad to do so. This will be kept confidential and I will not openly discuss anything that you tell me. Thank you for reading and Have a Blessed day!
