Hello all. Thank you for the support, though I was trying to keep this relatively low-key. I want to ensure there is no misconception, and I might as well give everyone the full story. Sorry for the length, but I would rather not leave anything out. The facts are as follows: I let charlie stay at my house for a number of months while he looked for a job. I gave him a key so he could come and go as he pleased. He had unrestricted access to the house on the condition that he sought a job and maintained the place. He vanished, appearing days later at Avail and telling me that he had a job at Macados and would be moving out. I never retrieved the key. CJ was a customer at Avail for a while, and our mutual interests in guitar and vaping resulted in us hanging out a number of times. He was always difficult to get in touch with, never consistent, and continually stringed me along concerning a “sick deal” on a Schecter Hellraiser. I sold him my Pegasus, which had my Mephisto nestled atop it. I asked for its return numerous times, only to find he had posted it for trade on here. He had mentioned multiple times that he wanted my Explorer, but the guitar is of immense sentimental value and I could never trade it. At one point, he left a cheap buddy holly knock off strat at my house, ultimately stating (and there are witnesses) that I could have it. I played it a few times, and eventually sold it alongside a few of my other guitars to fund our move. He saw it in the shop and sent me a nasty message, saying it was not mine to sell. I offered to buy it back or give him the money I received from it since he felt there had been a misunderstanding. He never replied, and I have not spoken to him since. Ryan is someone I do not know particularly well. He has been over a few times, but he has always been more of an acquaintance. The three have become close, according to Facebook. I thought it was strange when I had missed calls from Charlie and Ryan last night. The moment I noticed, I tried calling them with no response. I felt something was off, since our neighbor had mentioned seeing Charlie at the mall and him mentioning coming by to get his things (a motorcycle helmet and a few shirts). I actually told my roommate, who was with me at my mothers house, that this was a bad sign since they had been hanging around CJ, and I knew he had some bizarre axe to grind. I called the neighbors to ask if they could watch the house, but they were both asleep. I called my girlfriend, and she immediately drove over. Sure enough, my guitars, my amp, my batteries, my charger, pedals, juice...all of it was gone. Considering the specificity of what was stolen (vape gear and guitars, rather than any of my overtly valuable military memorabilia, macbook, or television) alongside all of the above, it is quite incriminating. Charlie is the only person aside from my roommate, girlfriend, and I who had a key, CJ wanted my guitar, and was angry over his perceived loss of his own. I am not sure about Ryan. He always seemed like a decent guy, but maybe he just got caught up in it.
