Hello all, The “beastly easterly” of Saturday, contributed to challenging surf conditions for Event #8 of the 2014 Dolphin Mile Surf Swim Series on Sunday when 98 swimmers started the surf swim. This included 6 swimmers from St Dominic’s College (Welkom). Strong waves made it difficult for the swimmers to get through the surf and into the choppy sea however the swimmers persevered and enjoyed the unusual conditions. Chris McGlynn again came out the surf 1st in a time of 19m30 followed closely by Junior Open Water swimmer Sasha-Lee Nordengen in 19m47 and Michael McGlynn 20m03.
