Hello all!! This is my first blog and I am very excited! Just a little about myself. I am 42, a single mother to two wonderful and loving boys, Ravon and Dakota. They are soon to be 19 and 21. I am a huge animal lover (we have four dogs, Tallulah, Starr, Diesel, and Steve and two cats, Oliver and Sheba) and spend a huge amount of time researching how to save (have to with all my hungry mouths to feed) and make money for my family. I have a love of books and movies, they are my daily escape! I will be sharing money saving techniques, including using coupons, weekly sales, price matching, and any other avenue I find in my research! With the economy being so tight for everyone these days, anyway to save money is always a bonus. I have been saving my family hundreds a month using coupons, price matching, and store membership incentives for years. I also have an AA in Veterinary Technology and will be sharing interesting and useful tidbits of information about animals. My family has had just about every type of pets from snakes, mice, dumbo rats to ferrets, and normal cat and dogs. My passion is large cats, specifically tigers. I have a huge need and desire to learn, grow, and flourish. My hopes are to help as many people learn to save money, as well as earn money themselves, and possibly learn information about animals along with differing ways to help rescues with the fight to save and preserve wildlife. The last eight years, I have had many obstacles. In 2005, I underwent a total hysterectomy. It was a huge loss for me to undergo such a transformation to say the least. The following year, my family lost a huge piece of our family when my father-in-law passed away. In 2008, my husband joined the military and was deployed in the beginning of 2009 for a year. When he returned, he suffered from severe PTSD and I had extensive knee surgery that included six months of recovery time. We underwent years of therapy but our marriage ended in a prolonged separation and soon a divorce. My sons and I have been on our own for the past year and a half. In March of 2011, I lost my mother to pneumonia. She had fought a long battle with lung cancer and had been cancer free for about six months. In March of 2012, I then lost my brother to lung cancer also. It has been a very long and trying eight years. I have faced the very bottom and am slowly crawling my way back up to see the sunlight once again. When I learned about the Empower Network, I felt such a connection to everyone I have heard from and know this is my time. My time to help, have my voice finally be heard, and to get my life in control and back. I have been slowly working all the kinks out and am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!! So, join me in my fight. Learn what I can share with you. I will be sharing my savings with my tips. I will be sharing my accomplishments of everyday life. I will be sharing enlightening thoughts, words of wisdom I receive, humorous pictures or videos (who doesn’t need to smile and laugh). I will also share great books and movies.
