Hello all! Wow what a wirlwind trip to Casper WY. A quick snapshot of my trip. Drive time 8 1/2 hours each way. Fished with Dusty Reed, a friend and a guide from The Reef and his friend Beau. Both have skills, are way funny and I think ill keep them as family. The main rod i used was a sweet sweet Scott S4 957/4... The boat we used was my Adipose, Ginger. The river was the North Platte. Now i know i have so much more to learn in the fly world of ours, and i try to take something from each person that i am lucky enough to fish with. I will be doing a formal write up complete with correct spelling and everything this week. Dusty and Beau taught me to play with the big boys throwing big beautiful bugs... They tried to get me to nymph on saturday.. I failed miserably. I was late with my sets and went back to streamers. Well.. Because of my ghetto style of casting the bigger rod with way bigger bugs, I was hurting in my elbow. Dusty road my ass yesterday to correct my casting issues that i needed to hear so i could work on things I needed to do to correct my ghetto casting. I made some progress, I will be back to fish with them to improve my skills... I think the 2014 ladies trip should be on the North Platte.. start thinking about it ladies... Good fun fish were caught. All my fish were on streamers.. Im out for now ~ Shelly
