Hello all, its a winter wonderland in Colorado this morning. Thank you all so much for the fabulous spotter reports. I have not been able to respond to all of them, but please know they are greatly appreciated. I found a couple of errors this morning on the snow forecast map I uploaded last night. I am re-uploading it again with the changes added. Here in Lyons at 8am, we have a hair under 6 inches. Love all the totals that have been shared so far with Weather Talk. I will post those totals later today. I have been in the Weather Center all night so finally I get to leave for a few hours. When I return, I will go through the 5am computer model runs to see when the snows will finally end in storm number 1. Storm number 2 which will be arriving on Sunday night into Monday will be brutally cold with more snow. One computer model is insisting most areas wont see zero on Tuesday. At the very least Monday through Wednesday will be extremely cold with highs not exceeding the single digits to low teens. I am still working on the snow outlook for next weeks storm, but it looks like most areas will receive at least another 2 to 4 inches. Ill also be talking about how next weeks Arctic air mass will be affecting the rest of the U.S. PS: I also attached a pic from the Lyons Cam as of 8:05am.
