Hello all my fb family & friends. Just wanted to give all an update. Some of you may know I was hospitalized Tuesday & it was a whirlwind of events to say the least! I FINALLY found an orthopedic surgeon to do my hip replacement & went to my appointment Tues morning but had some swelling in the same leg. He said I should get it checked immediately as it could be a blood clot. ME??? NO WAY!!! But yes it definitely was/is. A massive, unprovoked one in my left vein from ~ 2 above my ankle to mid thigh & had NO CLUE it was there! I was checked in immediately & the whirlwind began. But after MANY tests & TONS of blood work, they let me go home last night. Im back home, on limited activity & new meds. They finally decided on a treatment plan of combined blood thinning medicines that I will probably have to take for several months maybe as long as a year. Not looking forward to all this but ita a necessary evil. LOL So I want to thank my family for all the love, help & support in the last 2 days. I couldnt have done it w/o you! And thanks to all the thoughts, prayers & phone calls. They certainly made me feel better! Also want to say that thanks to all the folks at the Irving Baylor Hosp for the great care & attention. They are a wonderful group. So now I have to take it easy for a while. No more partying all night!! LOL Just kicking back on the couch I guess. I think Ill try to improve my crocheting & catch up on some novels I bought at a flea market. Hope to see/talk with all of you soon. Love to all. Dianne
