Hello all, we still need some action for the October 28th School Board meeting. There have been attempts to put Testing on the agenda, but nothing has come of it so far. I was informed by students that want to speak to this, too (imagine STUDENTS speaking at the School Board meeting!!!). So far, there have been responses from the Board about the pre-agenda meeting, but this clearly deserves to be heard in a regular board meeting open to the public. Here is a letter that was sent this morning by Cindy Hamilton. I hope you have done the same. If so please post responses here. Dear OCPS School Board, After hearing from students, teachers and parents I am writing to request that the OCPS elected board add an agenda item to the October 28th regular school board meeting. Please add the agenda item, The Overuse, and Misuse, of High Stakes Testing to allow our communities to express concerns about our current testing calendar and how this is impacting our classrooms and schools. Please respond with your willingness to hear us. Thank you for your consideration.
