Hello and Thank You for viewing my Gofundme page. I have been an artist since 1994 and It has been my passion and my world. The best part about being an artist is seeing the many smiles that my artwork brings to the wonderful folks whove purchase my artwork at fine arts shows and other venues. I create lasting pieces of artwork so its equally nice to know that my artwork will bring my customers many years of happiness! Being an artist has not made me rich, but Ive been happy and surviving up until this past year. Last years arts season did not go very well financially due to bad weather, the economy and vehicle issues..... and many of the shops in which I once supplied with wholesale sales, have went under or cannot afford to purchase outright, which means increasing shipping costs to me if I care to sell my works of art on a consignment basis. I like to keep my prices affordable and fair but when my costs go up, unfortunately so do my prices, and thats no fun for anyone!! Theres nothing worse for an artist or shop owner than to have a piece of over-priced work gathering dust on a shelf! I have always prided myself on being independent …. I find if very difficult to ask for help from others....but circumstances have led me to it this year. The financial losses that Ive suffered over last years art season have left me without funds to move forward for the upcoming arts season. I have been listing on Ebay and Etsy, and generating just a few sales during this off season, and recently chose to purchase a domain name and open my own website in hopes to bring in sales, but so far none of this has been enough to keep my head afloat. I am in desperate need of arts supplies to continue making artwork, for promotional and advertising needs, for art show entry fees, for gallery entry fees, computer software and just about everything to do with getting my name further out there to generate more sales. I have the ambition, I have talent, I have the love of what makes me, me, creating artwork for others, I have the determination and lastly, humility in asking for help from understanding individuals such as yourself. And helping me WILL help others as I do dontate artwork every year to several artists associations, also to help our veterans, for local folks with medical costs and to animal shelters so they can auction the artwork off to raise funds for their cause.
