Hello and thank you for adding me to the group! We had a Flemish - TopicsExpress

Hello and thank you for adding me to the group! We had a Flemish Giant over a year ago that died suddenly from an AWFUL seizure. It absolutely devastated us. Although I DO NOT condone back yard breeders......I couldnt leave this guy in a 2 ft X 2 ft pen with 2 other rabbits his size, no clean water and feces in his food dish. I have seen dozens of rabbits after our other one passed, but he just *spoke* to me. He is approx. about 5 months old and after a thorough health check, we have an appointment to get him fixed tomorrow. He took right to a litter box, which kind of shocked me considering the conditions he was living in. He still leaves his little territorial raisins here and there, but I cannot complain at all with his efforts! I had not expected to bring home a rabbit that day- the only thing I had was a milk crate in my trunk. He didnt seem to mind at all laying in it on the way home with the air conditioning after being stuck in a cage in the sun. I have done tons of research over the last year, but research is no substitute for real-life advice and information from others. Any advice on getting him completely litter box trained and to quit the *attention* nipping (he IS NOT biting or meaning to hurt us) would be greatly appreciated! I look forward to being part of this group!
