Hello and welcome to another excellent opportunity to witness underwater robotics in SE Michigan! The Square One Education Network is pleased to invite you to come to the Aquatic Center on the campus of Oakland University this Saturday, March 15 (9 am - 5 pm) for their annual underwater IVD (Innovative Vehicle Design) competition. 25 teams of young engineers will be diving into three unique challenges that test their engineering design skills throughout the day. The grand finale will be their annual underwater drag racing competition held just prior to the awards ceremony! Students in grades 3-12 will be hustling through the entire day. With the Ford Motor Company Fund as Presenting Sponsor, and Oakland University as Host Sponsor, there is no charge to attend. Come, see, yell, take pictures...and maybe consider bringing this outstanding STEM project to your students next year, as it is a perfect integrated, project-based initiative designed to be adaptable for almost any interested teacher!
