Hello crazy fellow TRRers!!! Cant wait to meet everyone in just a couple of weeks! Im Lori (here with my two sons after a trail race in Iowa, also have a daughter that opted out that day!), Im also coming from nice flat territory with only a few select trails...so my training has been a fair amount of the same trails over and over and a varying path of gravel roads. I hiked Kilimanjaro this January and did run at 19,300 down to our base camp at 15k so I have some experience with altitude...but definitely wasnt running any of the uphill climbs :-) My partner is Cindy from NY we met last year at the Flagstaff Run SMART retreat..amazing retreat btw, and we have been virtually encouraging each other along the way! Our main goal is to complete the adventure without injury and enjoy the journey along the way! This past week has been filled with a lot of nervous energy!! Just cant wait to get there, I love the mountains!!! Coming in this Sunday with my kids, sister and nephew and staying in Breckenridge area to acclimate before heading to BV! Cant wait to get the party started ;-)
