Hello darling nursing class of 2015 :) I just wanted to take this space in the Facebook world to thank Dawn Annette Sears and her group of ladies who nominated me as one of the possibilities for student speaker at the Rose Ceremony next June. Not only was I surprised, but completely honoured. There are many nursing students who would make great representatives to our grad class next year so I dont think we run the risk of making a bad decision :) When all is said and done, I would be thankful, grateful and supremely excited to represent all of you and the work you have completed over the last four years. I feel that giving a shoutout to all 127 of your is an important task - you have all contributed your time, energy, nerves, friends, family and livers to completing this degree. I just wanted to let you know that if I end up standing in front of a microphone 7 months from now, I will do my darnedest to emphasize everyones effort equally - because its the least that you deserve. On the flip side, if our class decides on another wonderful candidate, I will be just as excited to sit quietly (.. or not so quietly, which is probably more my style) and listen to the words of wisdom presented to us by someone who is just as deserving. In all seriousness, we are SO CLOSE to being done!! Congrats to everyone and good luck in the coming months
