Hello dear family and friends of YWAM, Greetings from YWAM Burundi! We are very excited to write this update to you all and tell you of the faithfulness of our Lord and Savior. Three months ago, we told you all about the students leaving for outreach. We’re so blessed to tell you of the wonders that happened! Hundreds of people received salvation, people were given trainings, miracles performed, and they spent time working in an orphanage. On October 4th, 7 students graduated after all their hard work. We are now busy preparing for the next DTS that begins in January. We are so thankful for all your continuing prayers and support - we couldn’t be where we are today without you all! From Left to Right: Jaggen, Leo, Method, Nick in the land We also want to take this opportunity to tell you of what God has spoken to us regarding our future plans. We have found a piece of land we wish to buy. It is a 3 and half acres plot in Kabezi, 16 kilometers from Bujumbura city. It is a beautiful piece of property on Lake Tanganyika with the Kabezi Mountains behind. God spoke to Jaggen and Ruth in 2010 when they were doing their school in Arusha, Tanzania. To find this land was a miracle because of Burundi’s small size and large population. We believe this is the right time to buy this land, firstly, because the longer we wait, the higher the asked price will go. Secondly, the longer it is on the market, more and more people will become interested, making it more difficult for us to purchase it. We ask that you will partner in prayer with us in support of us purchasing this land. If you are interested in more specifics, we can send you the proposals. However, before we move our base to this land, we need a larger facility in the meantime so that we can continue to run all our ministries efficiently. We are currently in the process of looking for a place in faith, knowing that God knows our needs more than we do.
