Hello dear friends! My name’s Galina and I live in Israel. I have a cousin who has been living in New York for 30 years, alone, without a family, just acquaintances. We are her only family, I, my sister and my parents. A few days ago we got very painful news that might devastate my father, who raised her, knowing that he cannot do anything about it. Everything happened quickly; her liver stopped working, she filled with fluid, every week they performed aspiration procedures, but nothing helped – she counted to fill up again each time with fluids. All the treatments, suffering and the trauma that she has experienced in the last year. The doctors said that despite everything, she has at least another two years to live!!! When her condition suddenly deteriorated, she stopped walking and functioning, and is left with a few months to live if she does not get a liver transplant immediately. Unfortunately, the world is cruel and vicious and not everyone has financial means, and when her insurance does not cover transplant surgery, all that is left is for us to pray. I am writing to you, dear friends, with the hope that maybe you could help me find a solution to my problem as high tech people who are familiar with the system over there, and maybe you can save my dear cousin and spare my father from the worst.
