Hello delegates, this message from the executive board is directed towards the delegates of ECOSOC. The agenda for the sessions is pretty simple and direct. We expect the committee to come up with a definition for energy poverty as there exists no universally accepted definition. We also recommend that the moderated caucus topics you raise be directly related to the agenda. You get extra points if you come up with creative solutions to combat energy poverty. So refrain from providing the committee with random statistics and instead, use your GSL time to propose solutions which can be implemented (along with the methodology...dont just say- provide employment to the poor, talk about how you want to provide employment.) Also, it would be better if you keep yourself up to date with some of the crises and some international events because the knowledge of these events and happenings can be extremely advantageous to you in committee. You can also link these events and crisis situations with the agenda at hand to come up with some country/region specific solutions.
