Hello everybody, Following on from the meeting last Wednesday I will be directing ably assisted by Kerry L Auditions are next Wednesday night 7pm till 9pm. Here is a breakdown of the characters involved: Characters Linda - The Bride ( Wants more from her life) Dave - The Drunken Groom ( Has no lines but throws up a lot!) Eddy - The Violent Best-Man (Knows the way of the world and resents outsiders) Robbie - The Ladies Man (Fancies himself than anything with a pulse) Billy - The Oddball (not that quick on the uptake) Kav - The Piss Artist (Also likes to draw) Peter - The Musician ( the boy made good) Frances - The Best Friend (Full of advice) Carol - The Work Colleague ( one of the girls always looking for a good time) Bernadette - The Dictator ( appears to be slightly older as she is already married with kids) Maureen - The Drunken Cry-Baby ( gets overly sentimental) Roadie - The Work Obsessed Southerner Plot The play is set in a trashy 80s disco in Liverpool, England. The action is mainly in the gents and womens toilets of the disco where both Linda (The Bride) and Dave (The Groom) have decided to hold their stags and hens nights, not knowing that their other half is at the same place. When Lindas ex-boyfriend, Peter, arrives this causes an uproar between Linda and Daves friends and when Lindas hen party get a say in all whats happening the two groups gang together to stop Linda taking up the offer of an escape with her ex Peter she is then forced with a difficult decision - to stay or to go. There is a lot of material on Youtube We will be looking at the first two scenes which involve the girls then the lads.
