Hello everybody! I hope you have all had wuvely, waggy-tailed - TopicsExpress

Hello everybody! I hope you have all had wuvely, waggy-tailed weekends. I enjoyed mine very much! It wasn’t as if we did anything very special; sometimes, just ‘being’ is all that it takes to enjoy the time together! Mummy and Daddy took part in the village yard sale yesterday and I was able to enjoy a very snoozy day. It meant that I was ready and raring to go for our walk in the evening, when the heat of the day had passed! We were out early again this morning, and it’s a good thing that we were as it’s a very hot day today and I think I’ll be spending much of my time either under the ceiling fan in the living room or on the stone floor in the kitchen! The GOOD thing is that I shall be having my summer groom tomorrow – I shall feel sooooo much cooler and comfortable when that’s been done! Tracey will be here to bath me, dry me, cut my fur, check my ears and paws, and cut my nails... it will be a real pampering! Poor Mummy, though... if it’s at all like last time there will be swathes of my fur floating everywhere like tumble weed in a deserted town! BOL! Tracey will be here at 10am tomorrow morning and again, if it’s like last time, will be here for around three hours! What a pampered girl I’ll be! Mummy says she wants to take some photos of the process but I’m not too keen... I you don’t hear from me until later in the day, please don’t worry, it will be because ALL the attention will be on my ‘summer groom’ but I’ll be back after it to give you all an update, and I suppose that I’ll HAVE to let Mummy take a photo of the ‘summer ME! BOL! It looks like this weather is set to stay for a while! I’m hoping to persuade Mummy and Daddy to take me to the beach, one evening, after Daddy gets home from work! It would be wuvely but it will depend on how Daddy feels – I don’t want him to take me and then feel too tired at work the next day! Both Mummy and Daddy say that it will be too busy on the roads and at the coast at the weekend... Mummy says that Norfolk is a tourist destination and there’s lots more traffic around at this time of year... You know how I feel about traffic! Mummy got her new card through from ‘Pets At Home’ today, which makes me a VIP! (Very Important Pet!) Bol! It means that whenever we buy something from the store, I shall earn ‘lifelines’. Every three months, these ‘lifelines become money and are donated to a charity of our choice! Mummy and I discussed it and we shall be donating to ‘The Dogs’ Trust’ so we can help other doggies who are not as lucky as me! Isn’t that great? I’ve been giving this a lot of thought... Mummy and Daddy buy my chocolate and one kind of my biscuit treats there, soooooooooooo... It, kind of, means.. the more treats I eat, the more I’m doing to help other doggies! I’ll try to use that argument, but I don’t think it’ll work as Mummy regulates how much I eat pretty closely so I don’t put on too much weight! BUT, it’s worth a try, isn’t it? BOL! Well, my dear furiends and friends, Mummy has more work to do this morning! (She’d me better off joining me on the kitchen floor!) I’ll write an update of other news later... there’s not that much to tell you on a lazy, summer’s day! Stay cool and keep those tails wagging. Kisses and licks, Brenna
