Our day’s info-packed agenda includes: - “Getting Started in Children’s Books” with award-winning author/illustrator Angela Dominguez - “Creating a Picture Book,” a discussion between Angela Dominguez and Patrick Collins, Creative Director at Henry Holt Books for Young Readers - A roundup of the “10 Principles of Winning Portfolios” with Angela, Patrick and Kristine Brogno, Children’s Design Director at Chronicle Books - “From Sketch to Finish,” a rare opportunity for 15 illustrators to have their work discussed and critiqued by Patrick Collins, while the rest of us listen and learn! All that, plus a book sale and signing, one-on-one portfolio critiques, lunch break with social time, and a portfolio show open to all attendees.
