Hello everyone... April 4 ....Well 29 years ago when I was 29 I gave birth to a most Beautiful baby girl... Leslie Marie - 10 pounds/21 1/2 inches In Ohio at the AFB.. It was a tough pregnancy , High risk, we were living in GUAM when I found I was pregnant. Michael was our fun loving world for sure then. Drs scooted us off the island as quick as possible because in 84 they did not have the facilities to take on high risk patients. So one of the best areas to treat us was WP-AFB, Ohio. What an awesome place also. Not GUAM but a great place to live (except when a Tornado swooshed by - a lot, but GUAM had Typhoons-Earthquakes and killer all kinds of critters-another story one day lol), While at home in Md i was told on the phone from my dr there that I should abort my baby. I had a spina bifida spine and best to abort it!!!! I was horrified ! I call Calvin in Ohio and he immediately made arrangement for me to come then to Ohio(I was staying with mom and dad at first) So at 4 1/2 months I was on my way to our new home. In Ohio after many Months in and out of the hospital weekly and finally finding out what illness I had (thanks to my Moms knowledge/family info once more), our little 10 pound precious baby girl came into the world. C-section #2, Daddy standing in the nurses observation window watching excitedly with many of the TECH/nurses . They all were in anticipation of this birth, we got to know many of them and what a wonderful place to deliver. During the time of delivery I was teased by the drs and nurses. My hair (and many remember it) was below my knees and thicker than a horses tail. Well one of the Drs woke me as they were pushing me to ICU and he said....You have a Beautiful Baby Girl with Long Blond Hair all in braids I had my hair in two braids(done by one nurse there) and they were all talking about how thick they were. The nurse said Dony Cry She is so Beautiful .... It was Easter on Sunday and it was awesome. My Mother was there , Calvin brought Mom and Michael to see us. Mom cried as much as I did! They treated her so special, Grandmothers get special care the nurses said. What a wonderful thing to see - Nana with her little Grand baby. Mom loved her name Leslie is a family name she loved. My cousin in England is Leslie. Funny thing though When the birth certificate paper came that day it was Lesley...I was in tears until i was assured it would be fixed. My dear auntie, Moms sister always spelled it Lesley. I never asked her to change it- Great Aunts get their way lol.... So Easter was a wonderful time for us in Ohio. Blessings from Father above. Celebrating our Lords Resurrection and our babys birth. We brought our Baby home 5 days later. And the adventures began.... Through many happy easy times through her surgery at 7 and her life long health to the accident that we almost lost her and her best friends and to the present with a family of her own to remissness over in 29 years, it has been a wonderful road of life. A heart filled with the Love for Christ, Leslie has enjoyed many adventures and Blessed with so many wonderful friends, many are friend with her since we moved to Pa. No matter where she has gone she has always been blessed with many many friends, She is Married now to a wonderful man and have the most amazing children. God has blessed this one family in so many ways- One of them as it turns out is Leslie I call her my Daughter ... Thank you Lord ...on the sad side but knowing where he is, Leslies birth was a joyful time but we lost her little Cousin born at the same time in Md in 1985 . So to Andrew in Heaven we send our love and 29 Birthday Blessings+
