Hello everyone. Are you in the process of importing laptops and - TopicsExpress

Hello everyone. Are you in the process of importing laptops and gold necklace, or any other product for that matter, on the internet? If so, this will surely interest you. After reading this mail, you will certainly realize the need for you to do extensive research before you order anything online. I received a mail recently from one of my clients, by name Chukwudi (not his real name), who purchased "The Mini Importers Bible" sometime ago. He wanted to import a female gold necklace. After having a chat with the seller online, he was told by the seller that the female necklace was genuine gold and not gold plated. He tried other sellers too and was told the same thing. He eventually settled for one seller, agreed on the price, and the gold necklace was sent down to him at his shipping address right here in Nigeria. He was overjoyed that his product was at last in his hands. Quickly, he rushed down to a jewelery shop the same day and tried to sell off the necklace without any delay. But, imagine his surprise when he gave the necklace to the dealer and to his utter amazement was told that the necklace was not real gold but gold plated. And what could be worse, the necklace was not even up to 18 karat as advertised by the seller. Completely deflated and unable to sell the jewelery, he returned home a very unhappy man. He rushed to his computer, got online and had another chat with the seller complaining bitterly about the experience. The seller had no choice but to agree that the jewelery was actually gold plated. Prior to that time, Chukwudi had already promoted his mini importation business aggressively on Facebook. Some people who showed interest in the gold necklace which he offered them at N2,500 (two thousand five hundred naira), a price which was 4 times the price he got it at the mini importation portal on the internet also paid him in advance for the necklace. So, long before he received the gold necklace he had already gotten orders for the product and even received payment from some of the customers. So, what was he to tell them now that the business had turned awry? Was he going to go back to them and tell them that the pure gold necklace was now not real gold, but gold plated? You can imagine his predicament indeed! Anyway, he has already returned the 20 pieces of necklace (amounting to $81.40, which is about N13,000) to the seller and asked for a refund of his money. According to the description of the necklace on the mini importation portal, it says: "18KGP N028 Fashion Jewelry 18K Gold Plated Necklace Nickel Free Rhinestone Crystal Pendant SWA- Elements Free Shipping to Nigeria Via China Post Air Mail". This means that the necklace is actually gold plated and not real gold. Though it also says 18KGP, which means 18 karat gold plated, the necklace is not up to 18 karat as testified to by the jewelry dealer that Chukwudi took the necklace to for sale. What can you learn from this story? Two lessons can be learned from the experience of Chukwudi. They are as follows: (1) Get the sample product which you desire to deal on before you ever think of marketing it either on the internet - such as on Facebook - or offline within your neighborhood among your family members, cycles of friends, and even to retailers who deal in the business. (2) Read the description of the product over and over again to be sure that you have understood the exact specification of the product before you even think of chatting with or investigating the seller further. Also endeavour to consult with a wide spectrum of other sellers who also sells the product before eventually settling for the one that you buy from. You need to realise that there are so many middle men in this business of mini importation than real sellers. So, you must not hurry into importing anything online before you have done enough research about the sellers themselves and the products they are showcasing on their various online stores. I hope you will find the above information useful in consolidating on your mini importation business. In my next mail, I will also share another experience of someone else who had a similar experience when he ordered some laptops on the internet. Apart from the fact that the laptops did not meet the specification, there was also problem with the battery. You will find out about what he did to get a refund in my next mail. These and many more useful information you will find explained in explicit detail in the chapter: "How to Become a Successful Mini Importer and Smile Daily to the Bank!" in the reloaded internet classic e-book on mini importation - "The Mini Importers Companion (Where and How to Import Brand New Laptops, Androids, Blackberries, Shoes, Bags, Clothes, Jewelries and Other Top Quality Products At Rock Bottom Prices)".
