Ask yourself: In this moment, where is my learning, what is it that I need to know? When something different or strange happens we often tend to ask ourselves the question why it happened. We try and see things differently, get a sense of what has to be done and wonder what the universe is trying to tell us. But I have even a bigger question in my mind, which is, âWhy do we wait for the big things to happen? â. Why do we not focus on the little things and ask ourselves to be right there in that moment understand what this is all about. Look around you and notice how the world is a mirror of you. See people around you squabbling on little things and take time to wonder whether you also do this without realizing. When you see young people helping old ones cross the road, wouldnât you like your aged parents to be looked after like that? What about the time when your friend is going to a party and still stops to help a dying puppy? What does it tell you personally? I have often seen scenarios between two parties where one person is so dominating and the other so submissive that you canât help clench your jaw to prevent saying something to both of them. Is it our place to say, do or act? If not, then what would I get being there? I thought of many such situations. I saw happy private situations of mothers hugging their babies in taxis, a child by the roadside consoling her small sister who had tripped and fallen down, a boy holding a purse and all the books of a girl whilst she took all her time to comb her hair and tie her clip about thrice till it was right. These special moments have made me smile, made me shake my head and also made me mad. I realized that yes there was some learning in all of this for me. The irritating and upsetting incidents involving some people have taught me a great deal too I have learnt how consciously not to be like them. The positive acts that I saw gave me hope and happiness. I can be similar examples to others in some place at some time. I would also like to be remembered positively and be an inspiration to others. Ultimately it is all up to me and only me. It is how I take the situation to my advantage. I can change the submissiveness to an equal platform or take the hugging of a child to chastisement and neglect. Yes, there has always been positive and negative learning. I chose to focus on the positive. ....celeste
