Hello everyone, Friday will mark 4 months since Zion was admitted into hospital for her Bone Marrow Transplant. I cant believe it has been this long. The docs say that Zion is still in remission; or as we people of faith would say, healed. With the exception of her platelets - which are stubbornly slow to produce - all other blood count levels are good. Zion is still in hospital mainly because of her ongoing abdominal pain; something she has been dealing with for about 3 months now. She has also had to battle a bacterial infection and different viruses recently, which has delayed her discharge. Most recently, over the past week, she has had a persistent fever that fluctuates, but seems to come mostly at nighttime. The docs are a bit baffled by it, and the fact that there is nothing presented in her blood, urine and stool cultures to support what could be the cause. So, while the other conditions may be manageable, we need to overcome this fever before there is any chance of us being discharged from the hospital. Your prayers have sent blessings our way time and time again, so we ask that you continue to pray for Zion. Pray for her abdominal pain, and more importantly for the fever to break so that she may leave the hospital. She is in good spirit overall, but is ready to get out of here! God-willing that will be sometime soon. Thank you for your continued support and prayers!
