Hello everyone! Happy New Year! As I begin my 11th week of post - TopicsExpress

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! As I begin my 11th week of post surgery, I look back at the previous year and think about about all of us who have had successful surgeries and are doing well. But I also think of those who did not survive and pray that their families receive the comfort they richly deserve during their time of grief. I am grateful to know that the report after surgery is that my heart is in good shape. All chambers are functioning well and there is no damage from 14 years of diabetes-my ticker is ticking normally which is great news! When the clock struck 12 last night I hugged my lovely wife, Aggie Noriega, and got choked up as I reflected on my journey and thinking about a friend Lisa whom the Lord took home last Tuesday after her surgery! Let us keep one another in our prayers and thoughts throughout the new year especially those who are having difficulties in their recovery and those who are yet to have surgery. As I pray for all of us, I will keep in mind one of my favorite verses: But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NLT) Onward & Upward and on to a very successful year!
