Hello everyone! I apologize for the lack of steady updates. My knee is just taking everything out of me. Lena is doing great. She slept pretty well last night despite the horrible weather. We are still trying to figure out what state will be best for us to relocate for Lenas treatment. We have found a supply company that will help us get the oil once we arrive for a very discounted price so that has been a huge weight off my shoulders. Im finding out that raising money for something like this is so so hard to do. Society, or most of society I should say, still looks at medical marajuana and the cbd oil as a drug and dont understand the natural benefits of it. I hope that we are still able to find enough help to get us there. I went to the ortho yesterday for my knee. He said it looks horrible and he wants me to have an MRI to figure out exactly what I did to it. He mentioned that my patella may only be dislocated and not actually torn all the way which is good but it still requires surgery. This couldnt have came at a worse time. Im hoping the MRI place will actually let us make payments or I just cant get it done. Every bit of money we have has to go to us moving for Lena. I couldnt justify spending any money like that on myself until after we get there and start treatment for Lena. Good news is our air in the car is fixed! I am thrilled about that. Praying it stays fixed. It means that now we can spend the money from the tshirt fundraiser to fix the other problems on the car instead of buying one and any left over can go to our move. We found out that where ever we do move to, Lena wont be able to be as closely followed on the oil as I was hoping. Because it isnt FDA approved, the childrens hospitals cant monitor it. I have to admit that scares the crap out of me. I know the oil isnt bad and it wouldnt hurt her in any way but it would be nice if we can go through a doctor with this and have their advice. It also means that DHS can get involved and the thought of that makes me sick. It shouldnt be like this, it shouldnt be this hard. All we are doing is trying to save Lenas life, we have worked so hard to make her life as easy as possible and sadly we ran out of options with this. I pray this all changes and it becomes easier for families. Thank you all so much for all your support! We appreciate everything you do for our family.
