Hello everyone. I have an important request. I want everyone who is still in the greater DC metropolitan area to try and make it to church next Sunday. I know everyone lives for the weekend and I also on the rare ocaision missed a Sunday a few ago to see friends and shoot guns. I dont have an important lesson, announcement, or mind shattering event planner but I have a single question to ask and carry a conversation. You have heard us rant, teach, have a question and answer from us but I am flipping it on its head for a few reasons which we will discuss. All of this rests on one question: Are you proud of your church? This will be a discussion simply led by you all. In this world and at your age you constantly told what to do,how to think, and what is right and wrong. I want to know what you all think broadly on that question. If you are like me and require a bit more structure to that question consider these in addition: what is church supposed to be? what is church to me? What should my church be doing. What place does the church hold for me? This isnt a situation wherere you come up with answers and we say if your right or wrong and why. I want to know what you all are thinking. Why am I doing this? There are things that I feel are bound to happen soon within our church and when big things happen sometimes the youth gets the short end of the stick. I want to know where you all stand, what you are thinking, and what you are feeling. We meaning the leaders will give limited input as this is truly a mission to understand yall.
