Hello everyone! I have noticed that the painting elephants video has been exploding again on Facebook, so I thought that this would be a great opportunity to spread some awareness about the abuse that these elephants are faced with as they work in the tourist industry. This video trailer explains it more, but basically these elephants are being poked and prodded and hit by trainers to choose specific colors and paint specific strokes. Elephants cannot paint pictures. However painting is used as a form of therapy in elephant rehabilitation centers, but those paintings come out very abstract and what you would expect.
