Hello everyone, I have seen the emails floating around today about eliminating part the girls fast pitch softball league, as many of you know I started this League with John Baressi and many other people from Peabody who have daughters who love to play this game. It took a year and half of my life, it was a labor of love for my daughter, Dominique. I was so happy to see this come to fruition. It has been nothing but positive for all of the Players, coaches, parents and Fans. We have been blessed to have the best set of coaches in Peabody, they really give 150% every time. But now we will have to show PWLL Board that this is SO important for our girls!! Please Speak up!! This league has only been around for three years and to destroy such a positive thing would be terrible! This league filters up for High School play and Varsity was the NEC Champions this year, JV lost one game all season. This shows that the program is helping girls pursue their Softball careers during and after they play in Little League. These girls now have great memories and a sense of Pride!! Also, this year both the Varsity and JV teams received a special award from the MIAA (Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association) for GPA of 3.0 and above for all players. This says something about student athletes, Lots of these girls play in OUR league!! and still do!! Please Speak UP !! I see the girls around town with there shirts and Jackets and they are Proud and Confident. Going to sectionals, and State Championships 2 years in a row !! I can not think of one negative thing this program brings to our CIty. Please Speak UP !!!! The coaches (volunteers) run clinics, miss family events and give unselfishly of themselves to benefit our children. The girls are happy and have a great time. It would be a shame if we let this go !! This Program brings Positive Influence, Pride, confidence and sportsmanship to all of the Players, things that we will need in life and they get to learn this with friends. Please do not let them destroy this Part of our girls life. Please Speak UP!!!
