Hello everyone. I havent been able to post very much lately because I really want to keep this positive but I have received inbox messages and texts asking how Peyton is doing. So, here it is: Its been very hard the past couple of weeks. The daily struggles and pain issues and now the medication Lyrica shes been on is causing her hair to fall out. Its as if she were taking a chemotherapy drug. Her beautiful hair, clumps and clumps all day everyday just fall out. Then she had a freak accident. Her wheelchair collapsed on itself while she was sitting in it. Trapping her underneath. It was awful. The natural reaction is to put your foot down and catch yourself but Peyton doesnt have her foot and so she landed on her healing, newly grafted stump! A total freak accident. We spent 5 and half hours getting her evaluated by her surgeon. As a result, her fitting for her prosthesis has been delayed. Which has made her very sad and very disappointed. She cant wait to get her leg and her independence back. I am hoping and praying for a better week. Sent from my iPhone
