Hello everyone, I havent shared any of my music or projects this entire year because of the business relationships I formed that brought only conflict and no progress. Im stuck in a contract for a little while longer that has discouraged me, hindered my writing process, and did not serve me in the long run. My manager is sitting on my contract as some call it, after I asked to be released from our working relationship that I feel I was actively lied to and manipulated into giving her a percentage of ownership over my music. In return Ive been unable to end the contract, despite her unfulfilled contractual obligations and lack of total communication. I find that despite my best efforts to end this amicably and fairly to everyone, I was ignored and led on a goose chase that would never break me free as once promised, to be able to start fresh, progress, or work with anyone else. The road is close to over, but I am aware now that only I have control over my art and my future, and have decided to take back ownership of myself. I present to you, after a failed music video project that was done with my former team last year, a remake that I did for about $30 with a good friend of mine in January! This was a year ago, at a different stage in my life, but Id like to share it anyways. Thank you to my producer George Hearst who has been like a second father to me and believes in me when I have lost my way, to Mario Heard who filmed the video and has worked with me throughout the different stages of this journey, to my best friends Camille Calame-Martin and Cara Stucker for helping make this video and teaching me to remain true to myself always.
