Hello everyone! I hope your summer is off to a great start! I encourage you all to connect with Christina about serving the Little Sisters of the Poor during the summer (see her post below). As for next year, get ready for these awesome events: 1) Discovering Christ - a 7 week series for fellowship and discussion of the deeper questions like the meaning of life, Jesus, the Church, and your relationship with the Lord. 2) November 1 - High Hopes for Haiti 5K at UMBC!! The Catholic Retrievers are partnering with the Mortel Foundation and the Archdiocese of Baltimore to raise awareness and funds for our brothers and sisters in Haiti 3) January 12-18, 2015 - Mission Trip to Haiti! Spend time getting to know and serving with Haiti 180, visiting the children in their orphanage, visiting the elderly the villages of Duranger and Dandann, and doing hard labor building a home for the aged and a school. Over 5,000 college students, increased friendship with the Lord and one another, great talks (including Jim Gaffigan!) and a deeper love and understanding of Jesus, the Church, and being a Catholic during college and beyond.
