Hello everyone, I just wanted to give an update/summary as to what is going on for all new Justice for Mason followers. My name is Malissa, I am the maternal aunt of Mason Johnathan Naser. I am a Head Start teacher and a foster parent. I have 2 children of my own Caralyn age 4 and Caden age 6. On February 22, 2013 my nephews TreShawn age 9, Tyler age 5, and Tyson age 3 came to live with us, after their brother Mason age 4, was brutally beaten to death on February 21, 2013, by his fathers live in girlfriend Donika Gonzales. The trial is set for February 3, 2014. I created Justice for Mason for a few different reasons, one being; none of the news stations or papers were willing to cover Masons story at length, two; to get awareness on Child Abuse and hopefully prevent this from happening again, and three... To get Justice for Mason! Meaning all those who stood by and did nothing to prevent this, need to be held accountable. Mason was born November 17, 2008 to Angelina angel Walters and Tyler Naser Sr.. My sister Angelina was sent to prison on January 8, 2010 for assault on a minor, regarding Tyler Naser Sr.s oldest daughter. Her boys TreShawn (from a previous relationship), Tyler Jr., and Tyson were in Tyler Naser Sr.s care. Everything seemed to be ok for the first year until, Their dad was no longer in contact with the maternal side of the family. Rumors of Tyler and Donika being together filled the air and not long after the abuse started. The maternal side of the family reported what they heard about the abuse and went to court, but were instead told they needed supervised visits through DSS. In court Nancy Tichy the DSS worker assigned to the boys case was told to do monthly visits to the Naser home but instead told the court Going out to that farm was a waste of time because the boys were perfectly safe. That was in September 2012 Mason Died February 21, 2013. During visits to the SD womens prison to see their mom the oldest TreShawn told their mom about the abuse and their paternal grandmother had excuses for every bruise or would get mad and walk out of the visit. After Donika was arrested she CONFESSED to what happened that day. She admitted to stomping on him, shaking him, and slapping him. Mason died due to blunt force trauma to the abdomen. His body was completely covered in bruises. During his funeral we had to keep putting foundation on his face to cover all the bruises. He had a fractured skull, fractured legs, and his eyes were detached from their sockets. Mason had the worst death imaginable. I can not imagine how much fear and pain filled his last minutes of life. The day after his death his brothers were placed in my care. Tyler witnessed what happened that day. The first few months were the hardest for Tyler and myself. He would cry, hit, kick, scream, spit, and do what ever he could because he didnt want to go to sleep. I am sure he had the images of what happened that day playing over and over in his head. I had him placed in therapy and it has helped him tremendously. His sessions went from twice a week, to weekly, and now monthly. He attended the head start I work at and loved it. He is now in Kindergarten and the intervention specialist believes he has RAD Reactive Attachment Disorder. He is a very different kid now compared to the scared kid he was. His brothers TreShawn and Tyson are both happy. Tyson is in head start and loves it!! Now that 8 months have come and gone, the boys are starting to have unsupervised visits with their dad and grandparents. Their first visit out to the farm was last weekend and all the visits have gone very well. I just hope that they do not go back to the same situation. No charges for their dad or grandparents who were there and said nothing? Tyler Naser Sr. is still standing by Donika after she beat his own flesh and blood to death. I pray that Justice is served, Masons death was tragic, but more importantly preventable!
