Hello everyone.....I received permission to hunt the inside basement of a building that was built in 1870....the structure was once a bank and commodities office. The floor of the structure is dirt and some kind of material thats very very hard and extremely dry. I start scanning and hit several targets right away....I could not dig targets out easy but glad I did! I have uncovered some very old coins that were inside pieces of dirt and whatever material that is mixed in? I took the clumps of dirt and soaked them in water not knowing what else to do and to my surprise the clumps of dirt dissolved exposing some get condition coins!!!! There are so many targets scattered across the floor I may be in over my head and may need help! The owner gave me the keys to building and I can come and go as I please as long as I dont touch anything on the upper floors or take photos because he is worried the building is not up to code. I will post some pictures today of my first finds! I need advice or help I have marked over 50 clean targets and I only scanned a small area!
