Hello everyone...I usually dont post things of a personal nature, but instead try to keep my Facebook posts focused on daily devotions. Your response to those are a great encouragement to me. Having said that I do want to take just a moment to share a personal note with you. This past Sunday evening I started a 19 day trip that would take me to three African countries to speak at conferences and conduct leadership training. My wife Rose was going to join me in South Africa on August 18th. However, while on my way to preach for a conference Thursday night in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, I received a call that Roses youngest brother Wesley had died as a result of an accident while working on his fathers truck. Since 9:00 am Friday morning Ive been traveling to get home to be with her and the family. As I write this Im in the Minneapolis airport waiting on my last flight to St. Louis. Since this past Sunday Ive been in St. Louis, Atlanta, Paris France, Kinshasa DRC, Johannesberg South Africa, Amsterdam Netherlands, and now Minneapolis. For those of you who would like to know the funeral will be this coming Monday afternoon at 2:00 pm in their hometown of Nortonville, Ky. Please pray for the family, especially his wife, Michelle, and son Josh.
